Define Amylase with Functions

The enzyme that modifies amylose to form maltose is said to be amylase. The big part of starch is amylose. In some starch, the whole part is made of amylose.

Types: Amylase is of two types

  1. α- amylase
  2. β -amylase.

Functions: The carbohydrate or starch food we take is digested by amylase enzyme.
