Difference between Galda and Bagda Prawn:
Galda prawn
- Mainly fresh water prawn but they are available in less saline water also
- Their body is transparent, whitish or bluish
- Their body is somewhat round in the cross section
- Their body can be bent completely
- There are forceps in the 1st two Pairs of walking
Galda prawn
Bagda prawn
- Mainly saline water prawn but they come to less salted water in the breeding season
- They have red grayish oblique bands on the body like those of a tiger
- Their body is laterally compressed
- Body cannot be bent completely
- There are forceps in the 1st three pairs of walking legs.
