Various Tools for Enterprise Collaboration
Enterprise collaboration systems are a cross-functional information system that enhances communication, coordination and collaboration among the members of business teams and workgroups. It is an information system used to facilitate efficient sharing of documents and knowledge between teams and individuals in an enterprise.
Various tools for enterprise collaboration: There are basically three types of toots for enterprise collaboration. These are as follows –
- Electronic communication tools: These tools enable a person to electronically send messages, document, and files in data, text, voice or multimedia over the computer network. Technology-mediated tools of communication such as e-mail, Skype, MSN, fax, video conference, or chat. Computers or other electronic devices are used as tools for communicating.
- Electronic conferencing tools: The reason for electronic conferencing is for individuals to connect in various dialogues without being in the same room. Participants can also send and receive files, as well as share documents onto a conferencing conversation board. These tools help people communicate and collaborate while working together i.e. video conferencing, chat system etc.
- Collaborative work management tools: Take advantage of workspaces that adapt to how you plan, collaborate, and execute tasks. These tools help people accomplish to manage group work activities, i.e. workflow system.
