Organizational Behavior

What is attitude?

Attitude can be described as a tendency to react positively or negatively to a person or circumstances. A favorable or unfavorable evaluative reaction toward something or someone exhibited in one’s beliefs, feelings, or intended behavior. It is a social orientation – an underlying inclination to respond to something either favorably or unfavorably.

According to Roediger, “A family stable disposition toward particular people, object, institution or issues.”

According to Gibson Ivancevich and homely, “Attitude are mental states of readiness for need arousal.”

So, attitude is a way of thinking and they shape how we related to the work both work and outside of work.
