The creator of Star Citizen and Squadron 42, Cloud Imperium Games (CIG), is a brand-new type of independent firm devoted to producing AAA games outside of the conventional publisher system. Established in 2012 by renowned game developer Chris Roberts, CIG is changing the paradigm of game development to be a more inclusive process. The Intergalactic Aerospace Expo (IAE), the most important yearly aerospace exhibition in the galaxy, will be back in Star Citizen from November 18 to November 30. The IAE honors the ever-growing selection of ships in Star Citizen that faithfully imitate real-world traditions for a realistic gaming experience. Players will be able to experience the digital event as they would any convention, from wandering through fully interactive expo halls and viewing the newest ships on display each day in incredible detail to meeting up with friends to explore and take part in exciting activities, or chance encounters with strangers that spark new friendships. IAE is a time for all Citizens to gather together to celebrate something they all love — spaceships — regardless of what profession or side of the law they choose to pursue in-game.
IAE 2952, which is being sponsored for the first time by Drake Interplanetary, will feature ships from the best manufacturers from all over the’verse, with new ships being displayed every day on the show floor at New Babbage, microTech. The Drake Corsair will make its in-game, flyable premiere during the event, and there will be numerous more new surprises for players as well. During the event, users can test-fly more than 120 ships at no cost in addition to fresh revelations. The XenoThreat has been identified within Stanton, making it critical that pilots have access to the most recent technology and hardware available to protect themselves. This year’s IAE takes place during these terrible times in the’verse.

Visit the Newest Ships: Throughout the event, manufacturers will be located in two display halls. Each day, a different firm will be present, and the ships that were on display the day before will be moved to the second hall for any latecomers. Every day, players have the chance to learn something new as they search for their place in the universe, whether it is the ideal spacecraft for their chosen profession or something completely new.

Drake Interplanetary, Anvil Aerospace, and Roberts Space Industries will be announcing new ships as they enter the show floor at IAE 2952.
On the first day of the event, the event sponsor Drake Interplanetary will unveil their concept for a crewed exploration ship, the Drake Corsair. With its large fuel tanks, comfortable living space, and powerful armaments, the Drake Corsair is immediately flight-ready and can accommodate a crew of up to four players.
Best in Show: From November 27 onward, participants can look forward to prizes from this year’s Ship Showdown competition! The owners of all four remaining ships—the Carrack, Mercury, C8X Pisces Expedition, and Scorpius—will receive special-edition color options in addition to manufacturer challenge coins that will only be available for a limited period. This year’s eventual champion and the first ship in Star Citizen history to win two Ship Showdowns, the Carrack, will be celebrated with an in-game ship model recognizing the milestone.
