Public Visibility

Public visibility refers to the extent that organizations activities are known to persons outside the organization. The activities may be directly observed. Activities also may be indirectly communicated by news media, neighbors, and other sources. It is the ability to accurately and completely view the processes, transactions and other activities operating within an enterprise. The importance of public visibility is that it makes business activities subject to public examination, discussion, and judgment. If acts are not known, they cannot be judged.

It is essential in order for organizations to verify how well processes are running, and whether they are delivering utmost price to the business. In other words, public visibility can show whether transactions and other activities are processing exactly, and it can also show whether processes are reliable with key business goals. That knowledge helps to develop general business effectiveness.
