Definition:
It is observed that if a body, hotter than the environment, is kept at open space, it loses heat until the temperatures of the body and the environment become same. Similar phenomenon is observed when two bodies having different temperatures are thermally connected. Heat flows from the hot body to the cold body and at one stage the temperatures of the two bodies become same. This phenomenon is called thermal equilibrium.
