Enthalpy H = U + PV
U = internal energy
P = pressure, V = volume
The significance of ∆H: If the reaction is exothermic, ∆H is negative (-) and if the reaction is endothermic ∆H is positive. So we can determine exothermic and endothermic reaction by ∆H.
