A farmer is a person who does the work of farming. His profession is agriculture. He produces different crops on his farm. He is the most common figure in our country. He cultivates his own or other’s land. He has different agricultural tools, land, and cattle. Basically he is the main force of the economy. He is a hard worker. He is called the father of food production. He shifts his labor to others for earning or leading his life. But they are devaluated. He works very hard to prepare the land for planting or sowing crops. A farmer grows not only food crops but also cash crops like jute and tea. Without his role, our country cannot go ahead. By working hard in the field, he grows bumper crops which help to develop our national economy.
A farmer gets up early in the morning and then goes to the field to work. Then he goes to the field with tools, two bulls, and plow. He works in the field all day long and procedures different kinds of crops. For the Farmers growing and reaping the harvest, we can have our food. Sometimes he works morning to midnight if he cannot complete his daily work or he has much work. When a farmer produces a good harvest, he enjoys a happy life with his family. His face beams with joy. His pleasure and pain depend on the mercy of nature. But when he cannot produce a good harvest, he enjoys a miserable life. When he finds no work at that time he and his family pass their time without eating. He lives from hand to mouth. His life is full of sorrow and suffering.
Generally, he lives in a cottage or wooden house. The income of a farmer is not too high to continue his life comfortably and happily. Sometimes, he and his family members have to starve. Sometimes, he is unable to educate his children due to acute poverty and for his illiterate. He looks older than his age. His work is important in all the countries of the world. Therefore, the government should give subsidies to the agricultural sector so that they can lead a decent life. He contributes a lot to the economy of the country. So, to promote the development of the national economy, the farmers should be helped with agricultural subsidies by the government. So, we should respect him and give him much opportunity to lead his life happily.
