Criteria of Function Analysis of a Modern Manager
Today’s economic situation is one of increasing uncertainty and ambiguity. The most commonly cited functions of management are planning, organizing, leading, and controlling, although some identify additional functions. One of helpful approach is functional analysis, which compares social priorities to with institutional capabilities for serving then and then assigns the most important priorities to those institutions most capable of performing then. The functions of management define the process of management as distinct from accounting, finance, marketing, and other business functions.
There are some criteria that are given below:-
(a) Social effectiveness: predicted satisfactions of claimants concerning benefits.
(b) Economic efficiency: predicted performance of an activity without waste of resource.
(c) Resources: Depth of resource available; alternative use for those resources and for new resources if new functions are performed.
(d) Innovative and creative capacity, flexibility.
(e) Capacity to move with deliberate speed, without delay.
(f) The predicted negative by-product,
- Community economic and other dislocations caused by the institutions taking a function.
- Risks to the institution’s survival and viability caused by its new activities.
