Difference between Asexual reproduction and Sexual reproduction:
(i) Usually it occurs in the lower type of organisms.
(ii) Male and female gametes are not formed in this process.
(iii) Usually, it occurs by spores or any part of the plant body
(iv) Number of daughter individuals formed in this process are usually numerous.
(v) It is a direct method of reproduction i.e. reproduction occurs within the single organism.
(i) Usually it occurs in the higher type of organisms.
(ii) Male and female gametes are formed.
(iii) Usually, it occurs by the union of male and female gametes
(iv) Number of daughter individuals formed is very few.
(v) It is an indirect method of reproduction, example: two members are essential in this process of which the one acts as a male while the other acts as a female, producing male gametes (n) and female gametes (n) respectively.
