Water is polluted from the dumping of industrial wastes and by chemical fertilizers and insecticides. Water pollution causes water-borne diseases like cholera and diarrhea. These two diseases often lead children to death. Moreover, the world is producing millions of garbage and there is no suitable place to discharge it. As a result, there creates odor pollution and air pollution as well. Air pollution causes pneumonia, bronchitis, and other respiratory diseases. These three diseases are very fatal, especially for children. The problem of sound pollution is very great. It also damages hearing.
Soil is polluted by harmful chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and insecticides. Trees play an important role in the environment. Trees absorb carbon dioxide and produce oxygen. Thus they save the environment. But trees are being cut down for different commercial purposes. Illiteracy, mass unawareness, population explosion, acute poverty, etc. are the prime reasons for environmental pollution. Environmental pollution can be kept under control by creating public awareness, removing illiteracy, planting more trees, and ensuring proper wastage management.
