Increasing the accuracy of interpersonal perception is another way of increasing the effectiveness of interpersonal communication. Accuracy of interpersonal perception can be increased by the following three ways:
- To increase the accuracy of interpersonal perception it requires ensuring self expression of the receiver’s feelings. Clear idea about one’s demand and feeling lessens the possibility of developing wrong idea about him.
- While making any idea or assumption about someone, his work should be observed. This will increase the accuracy of interpersonal perception.
- The last and final means of increasing the interpersonal perception is checking the accuracy of the observational decisions. In most cases, interpersonal communication fails because of faulty assumptions. Therefore, motives and perceptions of sender and receiver must be expressed properly in order to make interpersonal communication effective.
