My Last Day at School
A man has a lot of good and bad memories of his past. Every student has to study in different institutions in diverse spheres of life. A school is a place where the actual foundations of a nation are laid down. Accordingly, I left my school for higher studies. [Date: DD/MM/YY] was my last day at school. Maybe you forget about your first day at school but you can never forget your last day at school. Before leaving school, I want to recall some events concerning my school. While the first day of school may cause nervousness, fear, and anxiety, the last day is certainly a day of hope, confidence, and attentiveness. This separation was so painful, sad and miserable for all of us.
My last day at school is a memorable day for me. It is still fresh in my memory. The students of our school bade us farewell on this day. The school compound was covered with beautiful decoration. The hall room was nicely decorated. A stage was set up for speeches and cultural programmed. A separate arrangement was made for us to sit. Our respected teachers took their seats on this dais. Then we walked up to the school compound, the venue of the Farewell Party. We took our seats and the programmed started. One of our teachers called out our names. Our Principal, (Name) presided over the function. We went up the dais one by one and the students gave us flowers and the headmaster gave us a copy of (Book name). With the gift, we took our seats. He advised us to be honest and hard-working in life. We planned to meet all our teachers. We obtained their autographs in our diaries. Students delivered their short speech and begged forgiveness for our misdeed if any. We embraced each other for the last time. Some of us could not control themselves and began to weep bitterly.
Our teachers gave us valuable advice. The function is over, we were entertained with refreshment. Then left the school compound. We never entertained any idea that a day would come to separate us like that. Standing on the road I looked back home with a heavy heart. Finally, we departed with the hope that we would meet again somewhere someday. I shall always remember my last day at school.
