Ryan Reynolds is coming to Disrupt

Ryan Reynolds is coming to Disrupt

Despite being both Canadian and rather irreverent, Ryan Reynolds is America’s sweetheart. For his work on the Deadpool franchise, the actor, producer, screenwriter, and entrepreneur has been nominated for a Golden Globe and a Grammy.

But it wasn’t simply his performance that helped Deadpool become a billion-dollar franchise. Reynolds is a master of fast marketing, which he has channeled through his production company and marketing firm, Maximum Effort, which has run some of the cheapest and most effective promotions for Deadpool from the beginning.

Maximum Effort has also created some of the best advertisements in recent years. His campaigns for Aviation Gin (remember how quickly he converted a bad Peloton ad into an amazing Aviation Gin ad?) and the devilishly humorous Match.com spot are difficult to forget. His artistic abilities are amazing, but he also has a keen sense of business acumen. Reynolds owns Aviation Gin, which sold for more than $600 million in 2020, and Mint Mobile, a fast-growing mobile virtual network operator. Reynolds has also brought his marketing acumen to Mint Mobile without becoming a laughingstock.

We’re happy to have him join us for a fireside discussion at Disrupt (September 22-23), where we’ll speak about how he uses his creativity and platform in the realm of entrepreneurship, and pick his brain on how firms can use fast advertising to have the biggest impact on the smallest budget.

We’ll also get a sense of his interest in investing in startups.

Reynolds will be speaking alongside Canva CEO Melanie Perkins, investor Chamath Palihapitiya, Calendly CEO Tope Awotona, and Slack CEO Stewart Butterfield at Disrupt, for a limited time, gets your ticket for under $100!

It’s difficult to forget his Aviation Gin advertisements (see how quickly he transformed a bad Peloton commercial into a hilarious Aviation Gin commercial) or the devilishly funny Match.com commercial.
