This company wants to pay you $2,400 to avoid screens for 24 hours

Let us face it – we all spend a lot of time on our phones. That is why one company is providing $2,400 for the brave enough to share the whole day with their screens. According to CNN, reviews.org, a home products and services review website, has given a call for its “2021 Digital Detox Challenge” where participants can win up to $2,400 if they can go full 24 hours without a screen.

“If you’ve wanting to dig into your devices for a day but still need to pay, this is the right opportunity for you,” the company said on its website. “If this sounds too simple, you probably don’t need detox, so you should mention your phone-addicted friends and family instead.”

If you think you have come up with a challenge, apply on his website by March 26, 2021 at 5:30 PM MST. Just keep in mind that a complete list of verboten items can make you the smoothest. The list does not include any cell phones, televisions, gaming devices, computers and laptops, smart watches and other wearables, and smart home devices like Amazon Alexa and even your Rumba.

The challenge is a fun way to raise awareness of the growing and endless problems of the digital age: our over-reliance and addiction to phones and other digital devices.

A recent survey by reviews.org found that 56.4 percent of people feel “somewhat” addicted to their phones. A study in the Journal of Addictive Behaviors found that drug use affects our brains in the same way that drug use affects our brains.

There is also some evidence to suggest that it is changing children’s brains in ways that scientists do not fully understand.

Therefore, if you do not get it for the $2,400 challenge, it might be a good idea to take part in it anyway and let your mind rest from the screen. Do not worry; there will be memes when you come back.
