Various types of Pollution

It is the introduction of contaminants into the natural environment that causes adverse change. Pollution can occur naturally, for example through volcanic eruptions or as the result of human activities, such as the spilling of oil or disposal of industrial waste. Pollution arises when society’s wastes begin to impair the quality of the environment for living things.

Types of Pollution: There are several types of pollution, those are:

(a) Water pollution: Water pollution not only harms the aquatic beings but it also contaminates the entire food chain by severely affecting humans dependent on these. Water-borne diseases like cholera, diarrheas have also increased in all places.

(b) Air Pollution: Air Pollution is the most prominent and dangerous form of pollution. It occurs due to many reasons. Excessive burning of fuel which is a necessity of our daily lives for cooking, driving and other industrial activities; releases a huge amount of chemical substances in the air every day; these pollute the air.

(c) Solid waste pollution: Solid wastes are more of a state and local problem because they do not normally move in interstate commerce; however, the federal government plays some role in solid waste control through the solid wastes act.

(d) Noise pollution: Noise pollution is caused when noise which is an unpleasant sound affects our ears and leads to psychological problems like stress, hypertension, hearing impairment, etc. It is caused by machines in industries, loud music, etc.

These are some types of pollutions which are harming the condition of human and nature.
