Define Catalase Enzyme with Functions

The enzyme that converts H₂O₂ (Hydrogen peroxide) to water and oxygen is said to be catalase enzyme.

Functions:

In the field of treatment: it is used to clean the wounds. During the reaction, an enzyme secreting from the cells of the wounded area breaks down the H₂O₂ to form water and oxygen. This released oxygen cleans the wounds.
