Mendel’s Law of Genetics

Mendel’s Law of Genetics:

1st law:  Law of segregation or monohybrid cross-

If a cross is made between two plants or animals having a pair of contrasting characters, the genes lie side by side without being blended and pass to different gametes after being separated during the formation of gametes.

2nd law:  Lave of Independent assortment-

If a cross is made between two plants or animals having more than one pair of contrasting characteristics, all the individuals produced in Fwill be of dominant characters, but in F2 the factors or genes segregate and pass to different gametes assorting independently.
