Project – Term Definition

In simple words, a project is an idea or plan that is intended to be carried out. Actually, a project is a scientifically evolved work plan devised to achieve a specific objective within a specified period of time. It is an individual or collaborative enterprise that is carefully planned to achieve a particular aim. It is a task that requires a lot of time and effort.

Definition – “A project is an activity to meet the creation of an exceptional product or service and thus activities that are undertaken to bring about routine activities cannot be considered projects.”

However, a project must have the following three attribute;

  1. A course of action,
  2. Specific objectives, and
  3. Definite time perspective.

That is, every project has a starting point, an endpoint with specific objectives. The reason for each stage of the project is a set of deliverables that are decided upon before the project starts.
