What is Sublimation?

In a process by which if a solid substance is changed into vapour directly by heating and that vapour can also be changed into solid then that process is called sublimation.

The substance which shots the sublimation characteristic is known as sublimate substance Example—Napthalin, Benzoic acid.

It is known that the solid substance whose vapour pressure is greater than that of air pressure applied to them they show the characteristic of sublimation.
