The name of the country is Bangladesh. It lies in the eastern division of South Asia. It is a small low-lying country. Its whole land area together with rivers is 147.570 square kilometers. It is surrounded by the Bay of Bengal in the south and borders on India and Myanmar in the cast, and only India in the west. It became freedom on 16th December 1971 from Pakistan. Dhaka is the capital of this country.

The population of this country is about 17 core and most of them are Muslims. The others are Hindus, Christians, Buddhists and Tribes who live here with peace and goodwill. The major event that people celebrate is Eid Ul Fitr, Eid Ul Adha, Pahela Baishakh, etc. Most of the people of this country use Bangla as their mother language.

Bangladesh is the land of rivers because there are many large and deep rivers in it. It has tropical monsoon weather. There are six seasons in Bangladesh and the weather conditions and climate of all seasons are entirely dissimilar from one another. Based on the seasons, diverse kinds of fruits, vegetables and crops are cultured. The country is crisscrossed by many rivers and canals. The Padma, the Meghna, and the Jamuna are the major big rivers of the country. The land of this country is very fruitful where various kinds of crops and fruits are grown. Seasonal fruits like mango, jack fruit, guava, blackberry, pineapple, banana, coconut, watermelon etc are huge appeal to the people of home and aboard.

The economics of this country is mostly based on agriculture. Jute, rice, tea, sugarcane, fruit, vegetables, potato, and cotton, etc. are the major crops of the country. Agriculture is the key occupation of the people. The country also earns a great amount of foreign remittance by exporting RMG and Manpower. The major food that the inhabitant of this country eats is rice and fish.

Hilsha is the national fish and Doyel is the national bird of this country. The national beast of the country is the Royal Bengal Tiger. The national bird of this country is Doyel and the national flower is Shapla. Hadudu is the national game of this country but Cricket is the most popular game.

The Sundarbans, Rangamati and Cox’s Bazar are very attractive. Cox’s Bazar, a place of scenic beauty, is the longest sea beach in the world. It is about 120 k.m. long. Many people visit these interesting places every year. The Sunderbans and the Shat Gombuj Mosque of Bagerhat etc. are the world heritage site. The visitors are very much attracted by the natural beauties of Bangladesh.

Bangladesh is considered the gift of nature because of its natural beauties and resources. After all, the people of Bangladesh are very much peace-loving. It is a peaceful country. People from dissimilar communities live here in peace.
