Define Enzyme

Enzyme: Enzyme is a protein which is composed of liquid and colorless substances which accelerate the chemical reactions and after the reaction, they remain unchanged. They are vital for life and serve a wide range of important functions in the body, such as aiding in digestion and metabolism.

Microorganisms such as bacteria and fungus can produce Enzymes in the culture media. Such as:

  • Extra-cellular enzymes and
  • Intracellular Enzymes
