Interview: An interview is a procedure design to obtain information from a person through oral response to oral inquiries. (Garry Dessler). It is a formal consultation usually to evaluate qualifications (as of a prospective student or employee). Under these processes, job seekers invited to appear at the interview board with their relevant academic and other qualification records.
According to Scott and others, “an interview is a purposeful exchange of ideas, the answering of questions and communication between two or more persons”. Bingham and others define an interview as a ‘conversation with a purpose”.
An interview may be defined as a device to gather and receiving information through face to face to meeting between the employer and applicant with a view to make the final selection decision. It is generally taken by one member committee several managers at different places, and several persons sitting on a board.
