Market Appraisal

The market appraisal is a valuation of property (i.e. real estate, a business, an antique) by the estimate of an authorized person. In order to be a valid appraisal, the authorized person will have a designation from a regulatory body governing the jurisdiction the appraiser operates within. An appraisal is what you get when you ask an estate agent what your property is worth. During a market appraisal, an estate agent who knows your neighborhood well will visit your home and ask to be shown around the property and gardens.

If you’re thinking about letting or selling your property and you’d like a clearer picture of how much your property might be worth or have an informal chat about general property market conditions, one of our agents will be happy to arrange a full market appraisal of your property. Appraisals are estimated by knowledge of the local area and recent sale prices, and they should only ever be used as an estimate of price. This appraisal is not a proper valuation, and it cannot be used with a lender to establish the market value of the property.
