The Life of a Farmer
A farmer is one, who farms or cultivates the land for agricultural production. He is a man who leads his family by working hard in the agricultural farms or cultivating lands. He earns his livelihood by the sweat of his brow. Bangladesh is an agricultural country. So farmers are the backbone of the country. He is the most common figure in our country. He is a person who does the work of farming. Basically he is the main force of the economy. He is called the father of food production. But they are devaluated. He leads a very miserable life. Without his role, our country cannot go ahead. He lives from hand to mouth. But, the life of a farmer in our country is full of uncertainty (hesitation).
The farmers live in the village. He is a hard worker. Some farmers have their own lands. But some others are landless. They cultivate the land of others. He gets up early in the morning. They have to work hard from morning till night even in sun and rain to earn their livelihood. He works very hard to prepare the land for sowing crops. He works in the field all day long and procedures different kinds of crops. He rises early in the morning and goes to the field to seed, to weed or to harvest. He comes at noon, eats his meal, takes rest and again goes to the field.
An ideal farmer is a seed to the country. In any agricultural country, farmers play a vital role. The economic condition of a farmer is miserable. Although he works hard, he does not get enough crops to eat. He may be rich or poor. He works in the field from dawn to dusk. He lives a very low-standard life. He lives in the thatched houses. As a whole, they don’t lead a happy life. Through a farmer works hard he does not get enough to eat. He lives from hand to mouth.
An ideal farmer is a very important person in our society. When a farmer produces a good harvest, he enjoys a happy life with his family. His pleasure and pain depend on the mercy of nature. If he gets many crops, his joys know no bounds. But when he cannot produce a good harvest, he enjoys a miserable life. He gets pains when his crops are destroyed by droughts, floods or cyclone. He has to starve sometimes. Sometimes, he and his family members have to starve. He even cannot get minimum medical care. Due to his illiteracy, he suffers from various diseases. His children are deprived of education and the members of his family are deprived of education and the members of his family are deprived of entertainment and medical facilities. He also suffers from many diseases. He contributes a lot to the economy of the country. So all of us should respect him. Therefore, the government should give subsidies to the agricultural sector so that they can lead a decent life.
