To mean tissue culture of plants, we usually mean to culture an dissected organ of a plant which has dividing capacity, in a germ free medium.
The primary objective of tissue culture is to produce new plants from the above mentioned tissue applying this culture method.

Applying any of the abuse stated methods-
- Production of saplings
- Somatic embryogenesis
- Production of haploid plants from anther culture etc.
