A day laborer is he who does heavy manual labour in various fields. He is a person who leads his life by the sweat of his brow in various fields. He is quite known to all. He is to be healthy, strong and stout. He lives with his family in a slum. He lives a very simple life with his family. He gets up early in the morning and goes out in search of work. He works hard all day long and earns his poor livelihood. He works hard from dawn to dusk for his employer and gets his wages at evening. He works just like a machine. Then he goes to market, buys his daily necessaries and returns to his slum. As his earning is very poor, his children do not get proper education and his family members do not get medical facilities.

He is always dependent on his employer. He works outdoor and usually employed in agricultural and constructional work. When he gets more work, he earns more and then he and the members of his family eat with their heart’s content. The life of a day labourer is full of sorrows and sufferings. Sometimes he and his family go without food it he can not manage work. Then he can meet the bare necessaries of his life with his additional income. However he is in great demand in harvesting season. The life of a day labourer is full of sorrows and sufferings. He can hardly enjoy peace and happiness. In all weathers-good and bad he works hard all day long and earns his livelihood by the sweat of his brow. He does not know what is rest.

Though the service of a day laborer is of great importance, he is very much neglected. Most of the time he is ill-paid and ill- treated in every sphere of his life. He is ill paid and can hardly make both ends. Though the service of a day laborer is greatly important, he does not get his due respect. He is not held in due respect. After all, he leads a very miserable life. He maintains his family somehow. So we should have a soft feeling for him so that he can lead a decent life with dignity. We should think about his rights and show respect to them.
