Google is adding new tools to its search engine and Lens tool to help pupils see and solve difficult arithmetic problems.
We’re not even talking about simple arithmetic. Google Search has been improved to handle more difficult forms of arithmetic such as calculus and trigonometry. All you have to do is input the equation or integral into the text area at the top or use Lens to take a picture of your homework. Then you’ll see a series of step-by-step instructions on how to solve it, with the solution at the bottom. Geometry is also supported, with the business advising that users utilize Google Lens to solve certain problems because they can include diagrams. Because you won’t be able to draw shapes into the search window, your best bet is to upload a photo of the equation.
You can also type in word problems for physics questions. Google Search will highlight the “known and unknown values” and then offer you the proper equation formula to employ. For example, if you need to know the average acceleration of a bicycle going down a slope, it will tell you the exact kinetic formula required.
The math update is now available on both the desktop and mobile apps. Google says you may try out their new desktop experience by typing “math solver” into the search box. However, nothing appeared when we did so. This could be a reference to future growth, but we’re not sure. In any case, enter the arithmetic problem straight into the search bar. You don’t have to say anything else.
Advancement in Science: Along with mathematics assistance, Google is releasing interactive 3D models in subjects such as physics, biology, and chemistry. The diagrams allow you to zoom in on an object while also providing definitions of what you’re looking at.
The patch does not appear to be widely available at the time of writing. We saw interactive 3D models for general ideas like cell pieces and periodic elements, but nothing for specific cell or molecule kinds. You can seek a model of an oxygen atom but not of a carbon dioxide molecule. Furthermore, nothing was defined. It was only a model.
We contacted Google to inquire whether this fix will be available globally or only in a few countries such as the United States. If we hear back, we’ll update this story.
