Cell division is a process by which a cell divides to produce more than one cell.
Types: Cell division is of two types, such as-
1) Direct division
2) Indirect division.
Direct division: In this process, a cell divides directly producing two daughter cells without following any intermediate stages like mitosis or meiosis. It is also called amitosis.
Example- This cell division is sat in the lower types of plants, such as Bacteria, Yeast etc
Indirect division: In this process, u kell do ides to tome two daughter cells following some intermediate stages.
The indirect division is of two types-
i) Mitosis and ii) Meiosis.
